Jang Ja Yeon is a Korean actress, popular from acting as Sunny in Korean drama Boys Over Flowers. She was found dead on March 05 2009 in an apparent suicide. Before she died, she left 50 personally-penned letters. The contents of those letters were recently made public by Korean broadcast station SBS.
Police said Jang's older sister found her hanging on the banister of a staircase in their house in South Korea's Gyeonggi province.
What is the reason jang Ja Yeon commited suicide
An alleged suicide note left by Jang describes how she was beaten and forced to entertain and have sex with several program directors, CEOs and media executives, causing considerable debate about relations in the entertainment industry, as well as a police probe into her management agency.
The letters accused Kim Seung-hoon, boss of Ja-yeon's management company The Contents, of coercing the actress into providing sexual favours for more than 100 times and to as many as 31 men.
Yesterday, according to news publication Korea Times, the man who received the most number of sexual favours is the former president of Sports Chosun. The man was said to be Kim's good friend.
Furthermore, Hallyu star Jang Dong-gun's wife Ko So-young was also rumoured to be a victim as she was once under the same management as Ja-yeon. However, the Korean police did not mention if Ja-yeon's letters implicated other female celebs.
